Freedom from Disease
Listen, I got tired of it. Of suffering; of feeling sick, tired and depressed. I got tired of my thoughts puling me into crushing loops whenever anything unexpected happened. I had a rash on my skin, my hair was falling out, my posture was slumped. I'd broken my neck in 2008, and there was still scar tissue around the bone that hurt when I woke up. Though I had idyllic notions, every year I felt worse and worse.
I was approaching forty; it became a milestone. I didn't want forty to look like it was starting to look, because then I could predict what fifty would look like!
So I started a massive lifestyle overhaul.
I don't believe in suffering. I mean, I know it sounds crazy, but I don't believe that suffering is the default human condition. I believe that joy is the default, and that we find our ways into suffering. I was born with that belief, and it crystalized when my mother healed her crippling arthritis by changing her diet. I'd almost forgotten about that until I started my own healing journey.
I was living in a remote forest in Northern California when I met this powerful, herbalist woman from Bulgaria; she'd healed herself eating only fruit, and she suggested I do the same. Just fruit? I was dubious. It seemed too simple. She had the same name as my great grandmother, who was the one who had told my mother how to eat to save her life. The name means something like 'bright light.' A sign?
I did it. What did I have to lose? It was winter when I started, and I only ate oranges. I ate oranges and I crushed them into juice. For the first weeks I was sick, detoxing, mucus pouring out of me. My coughs tasted like the antibiotics I took as a child. And then I started to feel better and better; lighter and lighter. My eyes lightened a few shades. I was catching more and more happiness.
I thought that Id 'discovered something new', but really I realized that there was a very old, even ancient tradition of healing with fruit, and I was just tapping into it. I read everything I could find; exhausted my finances ordering old, out-of-print books; any rarities that spoke about diet and particularly healing with fruit. There were a handful of legendary ones, from Hilton Hotema, Herbert Shelton, Arnold Ehret, Johnny Lovewisdom, and others.
In reading some of these books I thought, if kids read this stuff in primary school, instead of the history of the Civil War, the world would be a much different place!
After a year and a half of doing this, I began testing it on family members. My brother used it to heal an ulcer and acid reflux. After two years, I began to introduce clients to it, and all kinds of symptoms were improved. (Healing happened).
So I wrote a few blog posts, and thousands of people shared them. To find them, just google 'fruit healing.'
Im an obsessive reader and researcher, and when I discovered so many fascinating things about fruit, the body, alternate theories of anatomy (esoteric anatomy), I knew there was more there. So I decided to put it into another book #edenboundbook (my fourth book on healing). Preorder it at the link in bio @stevenbudden It may be the most important book you ever read!
